{june crop altered letter}

Hi all so sorry been so busy! here is junes altered letter, I am busy making up kits now. The kit will be £5 this will include a patterned paper( papers will differ however you can bring one you all ready have). I wasnt going to add a paper but it was easier to match up the kits this way as some have different ribbon and different frames / flowers etc. This wont however include the keyhole sconce on the left as i only had 16 of these! they will be a £1 each and be first come basis. However if you are prepared to wait a little while i will be able to get more!
Hope thats not too much to take in?
Some of the other papers are really beautifull flowers all different colours Looking at the kits i wish id added some colour!
Please bring if you have any white or cream paint, brush,and ink pad.

You may not be able to add your photo on the day as the frames all differ in size and shape.
So hopefully i will see you all on saturday at 10am {where i will be doing the next kit so i am not running this far behind! haha }

Just thought i would show you all my recent mini book i made using a 7 gypsies album! i had snippets of paper lying about for ages with little trinkets of Owens wisdom on them! So i thought i would contain them in one book! It was inspired by cathy zieskes book on her son.

I used autumn leaves stamps for the circle embellishments and the record cards , scenic route paper from a recent scrapagogo kit, tim holtz paper and heidi swapp chipboard letters!

{Flag book instructions}

Well here it is the flag book we made at the kit, we had a fabulous day and everyone enjoyed making there book! the papers are gorge! and 56 PHOTOS is incredible, I found some instructions on line there are a few going about, i rewrote mine and have posted them here if any one wants a go at one!

Flag Flip Book – APRIL 2007
Materials:
bone folder wet glue2 pieces 3-1/2" x 9-7/8" (9cm x 25cm) mat board 1 yard flat ribbon 3 Sheets 12 “ x 12” Cardstock
Steps:
1. First cut the piece of cardstock you wish to use as the spine to 9-7/8” by 9-7/8” ( 25cm by 25cm) Determine the grain direction card spine by holding the paper on the edge. The grain direction can be found by the amount the paper dips down.
2. Fold the book spine in half, working with the grain. Flatten the fold with the bone folder.. Keep folding each fold in half again until you have eight mountain folds and seven valley folds flatten each fold with the bone folder. The width of each fold will be approximately 1/2 inch. It will look like a paper fan when complete.
3. Take first sheet of cardstock you are using for interior, cut this into four 3” x 12” strips, put one strip aside for later, and cut the remaining 3” strips into 2 3/8” (6cm) x 3” rectangles. You will have 15, put one aside, you will only need 14. Do the same for one other sheet of cardstock.
4. From your patterned paper cut two pieces 5” x 12”. Brush glue onto a mat board and position in the center of cover piece. Repeat with the second cover. Use scissors to trim each corner of the covers, leaving about 1/16 inch on each corner this will create a mitered corner.
5. Put glue on the outside edge strips of your folded paper and adhere to the inside of the matt board covers.
6. Use glue to attach ribbon to the inside of each cover.
7. Take four inside pages (two of each colour) stick first one to the top left hand side of the first fold, stick the second one just below the first one on the right hand side of the fold. Stick the third one below this, on the left hand side of the fold, stick the forth one below this on the right. Repeat for every fold, until you have 28 pages, this will make a two way fan shape.
8. With the remaining strips, cut them to 9 3/8” (24cm) long, and adhere to the inside front and back covers.
9. Add photos, decorate your book using quotes and words, inking edges as required. Glue flowers and diamantes to front using wet glue. Punch out any additional flowers.

{sneek peek}

Here it is ! Sneek peek kits packed!
plus here is a copy of what my leaflets say , its aimed at beginners so they no what they are letting them selves in for ! Also its got somemore details

Cost of the mother’s day kit is £4, all instructions will be given. You will need between 8- 17 small photos (7cm square, these can be cropped)

Basic tool kit

Scissors
Glue (acid free, pritt stick is fine)
Trimmer
Black journaling pen
Ink pad (brown or black)
Double sided tape

Don’t worry if you do not have the above there will be some equipment available to borrow. Small starter packs of adhesive can be purchased.

You can bring any craft items you have and any photos you wish to scrap as there will be a small selection of other kits available and the use of die cutting tools and stamps. If there is anything imparticular you need feel free to contact me, Donna on...
Please bring some lunch or there are local shops around the corner.

You are under no obligation to buy a kit. Kits are on a first come first served basis if you would like to reserve a place and a kit on the day a deposit of £5 can be taken.

please bring a mug!
Exploding box instuctions!!!!!

For the box you need: 3x 12x12 sheets of cardstock For the lid you need: 1x 12x12 sheet of cardstock (though this can be A4 )

We will start off measuring in inches and revert back to centimeters to make it more accurate so double check!

1. Firstly decide which colour you would like your lid to be and set this aside (you will want this a different colour to your ribbon and not the red as you wont see your hearts)

2. Decide on the colour for the outside bottom of your box and cut this to 10x10 inches,
Cut the next piece 9x9 inches.
And the last piece 8x8 inches.

3. Take your 10 inch piece and score 8.5cm in from each side to create a cross shape.

4. With the 9 inch sheet score 7.5cm in from each side.

5. With the 8 inch piece score 6.6cm in from each side

6. Cut out the corner square out from each sheet and round all of the corners. You should be left with a cross shape.

7. Cut the piece of cardstock set aside for your lid to 16.6 cm square. Score in 4cm from each side. You will have four small scored boxes on the corners; on each corner score these diagonally from the inner corner to the outside corner. Fold all of the score lines and fold the corners inwards and glue with wet glue. Secure this with a paper clip until dry.

8. Taking your smaller square fold all your score lines and cover the centre square with the paper of your choice, affix brad and flower.

9. Fold all of your score lines on the other sheets. Secure the three pieces of cardstock together on the middle square only using double sided sticky tape.

10. You can now decorate your box!
Tip if you cut all of your patterned paper to 3x3 inch squares they will fit nicely on the bigger squares and will only need a bit of trimming on the smaller squares. You will have plenty of cardstock left over to mount your photos and quotes. Punch out your hearts and arrange around your mothers day heart. Put the brad and flower on to the lid before you add the paper and the photo to the inside.
When you’ve finished you can make another one!
